Rent subsidy is paid to private landlords on behalf of program

participants with families paying up to 40% of their annual adjusted

Public Housing Program

Properties are owned and managed by the Housing Authority.

Provides rental housing in various developments located

throughout Broward County to qualified income eligible

Serves families with children 3-17 years who have mild to moderate

emotional or behavioral difficulties. Offers assessment, family therapy,

and individual therapy (6-17) in the family’s home and in the

child’s school (when appropriate). Most Medicaid HMO’s are accepted.

Youth Transitions

Transitional independent living services for youth 15-23 years with

serious emotional and behavioral issues and who are aging out of the

child welfare system (both foster care and relative placements).

Services include case management, youth development activities, life

skills coaching (classes, and one on one), and counseling.

Foster Care

Foster parent recruitment, training, and licensing services provided, as

well as placement and monitoring of children in foster care. Parents
